Plasmonic laser : ウィキペディア英語版 | Plasmonic laser A plasmonic laser is a type of laser which aims to confine light at a subwavelength scale far below the Rayleigh's diffraction limit of light, by storing some of the light energy through electron oscillations called surface plasmon polaritons. Due to the role of the surface plasma excitations in their operation, they are sometimes called ''SPASER''s (from Surface Plasmon Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation). On the applied front, myriad prospects could arise, among them the fabrication of ultra-fast photonic nano circuits with unprecedented performance and the improvement of techniques such as nanolithography and single-molecule biochemical sensing. == References ==
